About Overture
Overture is Opus One's second wine, produced since 1993 as an expression of the estate across different growing seasons. Since the 2021 vintage, Overture has been vintage-dated in its own right, distinct from the non-vintage blends of earlier years — built with more red fruit character, herbal lift, soft tannins and a creamy texture, offering a different side of the estate to the flagship wine.

The 2023 Vintage
The blend includes 0.5% Petit Verdot alongside predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon (full varietal breakdown to follow once the winery's technical sheet is published).

Gorgeous Cabernet aromas, clear and crystalline, with herbal notes, cool blueberry and a chalky edge, rose scents, dark cherries and cinnamon bark. Full and expressive on the palate, with bright acidity giving lift against the Napa richness and fruit concentration — pristine and finessed.
