Run with fantastic energy by the young Christelle Alias, this 38 hectare estate lies at the foot of the Montagne d’Alaric in the northerly, cooler part of the Corbières. In 1997 the vineyards were completely restructured by Christelle’s father, Bernard and are now cultivated organically.
Christelle joined her father in 2012 after a tour of the viticultural world and has clearly had fun creating her wines: there is a juicy vibrancy – she clearly aims for freshness and elegance over extraction and power.

Sainte Marie des Crozes

Tasting Notes

Powerful and expressive with rich spiced dark fruits. The fruit character intense and fresh, with the wine showing elements of toast and oak from it's time spent ageing in oak barrels. A great match for roast meats and stews.

Press Review

''Flavoursome, rich and robust red from the Montagne d’Alaric terroir in the Languedoc’s Corbières AOC, the biggest by far in the south of France. Very much a traditional regional blend, winemaker
Christelle Alias has managed to bring elegance and bundles of freshness to a big wine and robust that has plenty of juicy, ripe, spiced dark fruit flavours, and a hint of oak. Enjoy with: Lamb stew. ''

Press Review 2

''For a good introduction to fuller reds, this is organically produced in the Languedoc. A blend of Syrah, Carignan and Grenache, it's fruity and spicy with a fresh style that's softer after decanting''
