A bright and elegant Chardonnay, with aromas of green apple, pear and a touch of citrus. The palate is well-balanced with fresh flavours of lemon zest, white peach, but with subtle hints of honey, candle wax and oak. The finish is crisp but the lush texture of this rich, dense wine lingers lovingly on the palate.

"Nicolas Ragot took the helm at this eight-hectare Givry estate in 2003, modernising the bottling line and cuverie to work in a more precise, less interventionist manner. Working the soils, harvesting by hand and classical wine making with destemmed fruit and maceration of some 10-15 days are the rudiments of the approach. The result is supple, flavourful reds and whites that still fly somewhat under the radar and which merit consumer attention." Robert Parker
