Tasting Notes

Deep garnet in colour, the 2018 Langoa Barton is a beautifully classic Saint-Julien, combining the generosity of the vintage with the estate's hallmark elegance. The nose is layered with aromas of cassis, black cherry and blackberry, intertwined with cedar, graphite, cigar box, violets and subtle sweet spice. On the palate, ripe dark fruits are framed by finely grained tannins and vibrant freshness, with notes of pencil lead, tobacco leaf and a touch of clove adding complexity. The finish is long, poised and mineral, promising excellent development in bottle.
