Bàrbara Mesquida Mora established the groundbreaking Mesquida Mora winery in Mallorca in 2012 near the town of Porreres, making wines in the southern and eastern areas of the island. Bàrbara’s wines form a rich mosaic recalling the diversity of Mallorca varieties while also representing the history of her pioneering wine making family, with her own unique futuristic vision.
Her aim is to bequeath rich, fertile soils to the future generations, Barbera manages the vineyards based on a dialogue with nature. Vegetable covers are sown, bio dynamic compost and preparations and employed, and medicinal plants are grown. All of these techniques help her to achieve grapes of the highest quality, an expression of the triangle sun-climate-variety.
