The Puelles family has been settled in Ábalos since time immemorial, with a winemaking tradition that matches its existence.

The current generation, the Puelles brothers, transformed and expanded the Molino estate into a beautiful winery next to the old 17th-century mill, which the family acquired from the municipality in 1844.

"At Bodegas Puelles, we believe that great wines begin in the vineyard. We cultivate and cultivate sustainably, using  organic viticultural practices  that respect the environment and enhance the quality of the grapes. We do not use chemical fertilizers or herbicides, and use treatments limited to the strictly necessary. The grape harvest is carried out manually, with the aim of taking maximum care of the bunches and showcasing the vineyard's full potential, as we do with organic practices throughout the year. Furthermore, all our vineyards are very close to the winery, which also contributes to reducing grape inflow times and preserving the quality of the wines."

Tasting Notes

Ruby red. Aromas of black and red fruits and a well-matured woody note in the background. On the palate, balanced between red fruits and notes of blackberries, with prominent tannins and well-integrated acidity. Long-lasting, soft finish.

Press Review

"Has some reductive aromas when first poured after opening. After that it has some notes of hung game, spices, beef blood, iron, tea leaves and peat showing mostly as tertiary aromas. The palate is medium-bodied, with a fine thread of acidity going through its spine that is laced with fine tannins. It is quite easy to drink and quite a good price for a Gran Reserva. 10,000 bottles produced."

Press Review 2

"It shows dried cherries, dried raspberries, cedar, tobacco and spices. Round and resolved on the palate with a good, but not overbearing, drying effect to the tannins. Solid on the finish."
