Domaine Stephane Ogier

Deep ruby with purple highlights, the nose bursts with aromas of blackberry, black cherry and raspberry, layered with classic Syrah notes of cracked black pepper, violets and a touch of smoked meat. With air, hints of olive tapenade, liquorice and dried herbs emerge.

On the palate, the wine is supple, juicy and energetic, with silky tannins and impressive freshness. Ripe dark berry fruit dominates initially, followed by savoury spice and subtle floral lift. Unlike more heavily extracted Rhône Syrahs, this cuvée focuses on purity, drinkability and balance, making it especially approachable in its youth.

The finish is clean and peppery with lingering notes of black fruit, violet and gentle spice. A polished yet uncomplicated Syrah that punches well above its level and captures the character of the northern Rhône beautifully.

Serve slightly cool with grilled lamb, charcuterie, burgers, roast chicken or barbecue dishes.
