Cantariña organically farms roughly 13 Ha of vineyards divided among three different sites, all of them located in our hometown Villafranca del Bierzo in León, Spain.

The Cantariña family winery is born from century old vineyards and the love for the land. They organically farm to produce the best grapes possible that allow the production of precise, focused, low intervention wines. Their wine-making is rooted in the philosophy of terroir and a due respect for nature, which allows them to enjoy what the Earth has to offer.

Tasting Notes

A vibrant and expressive Mencía with a small amount of Godello in the blend, La Cabeza de Perro captures the varietal’s signature freshness and complexity. On the nose, intense aromas of ripe red berries, black cherries, and crushed violets are complemented by hints of black pepper, graphite, and a touch of wild herbs.
Floral and fruity with plenty of cherry and strawberry flavours. Tangy, crunchy fruits with a fine minerality.
