Rocche Costamagna, Barbera d'Alba, 2023
Rocche Costamagna is one of La Morra's oldest estates, selling wine since 1841. Alessandro Locatelli has run the 14ha property since the mid-1980s, steadily raising quality in vineyard and cellar.
Their Barbera d'Alba is 100% Barbera from limestone and clay soils, macerated for five to six days and partly aged in French oak. Bright, juicy and fresh, it is the estate's everyday red, made for the table rather than the cellar, and will drink well over the next four to eight years.
