Kracher, Cuvee Beerenauslese, Burgenland, 2019
Alois Kracher was one of the world’s great winemakers: a visionary who created a new style of sweet wine in Austria, based on fruit, finesse and balance. He insisted on vinifying individual vineyards separately, thus giving each wine an individual character. His wines became cult classics, loved by critics and wine drinkers worldwide. Now his son, Gerhard who has worked with his father since 2001, has seamlessly taken on the mantle.
