La Bascula, Atlantic Way, Albarino 2023

When South African Bruce Jack of Flagstone winery and hispanophile Ed Adams MW (both Celtic Tigers at heart) decided on a label design they went for the latter rather than the former to represent the balance in their carefully crafted pair of wines from Jumilla, Spain. Good wines are all about balance – balance in the vineyard, the balance between various components in the wine and in the case of Báscula the balance between Old and New World.
