Haut Marin, Fossiles Blanc, Cotes de Gascogne, 2021
Based in the heart of Bas-Armagnac, the Haut Marin estate is located along the Via Podensis, which has been used for centuries by walkers on the Way of Saint James. It is in this typically Gascon landscape that the 180 hectares of vines are planted on a marine geological site. Sunken by the sea 23 million years ago, the soils of the estate are clay-limestone, shallow and stony. This type of soil allows the grape varieties grown there to produce dry wines of great freshness.
