Created at the beginning of the XIX° century, Phélan Ségur is the result of the extraordinary work of M. Phélan. This château, one of the largest of Médoc region, is made of the mix of two properties: Clos de Garramay and Chateau Ségur which was owned by the Comtes de Ségur.

This is the second wine of top Saint-Estèphe, Château Phélan-Ségur. It shows attractive red fruits with good balance, ripe tannins and attractive freshness.

Tasting Notes

Deep purple-black colored, the 2016 Frank Phélan jumps from the glass with punchy black cherries, boysenberries and plum preserves scents with a core of warm cassis, candied violets, dark chocolate and garrigue. Medium-bodied, the palate has a classic chewy structure with seamless freshness supporting the muscular black fruits, finishing earthy.
