Family property since 1779 now converted to organic farming. Former trading house specializing in Sauternes. Château La Clotte-Cazalis is operated by Marie-Pierre Lacoste, a young winemaker, agronomist and oenologist, specialized in the production of sweet wines. The vineyard covers 8 ha of which 5 ha are dedicated to the production of Sauternes on vines over 70 years old and 3 ha to the production of red Bordeaux.

"Pale to medium lemon-gold, the 2016 la Clotte-Cazalis comes charging out of the gate with gregarious mango and melon scents, giving way to suggestions of honeycomb, allspice, lightly browned toast and tree bark. The concentrated, seductive palate has plenty of earthy accents and a bold line of freshness, finishing with a citrusy lift."
