As part of our For Wednesday, 4 Wednesday events for early 2017 here at Searsons come and discover more about the wines of Burgundy. These Wednesdays are pitched to savvy fine wine aficionados out there. Centred around the tasting of 8 wines, and led by Harriet Tindal, these evenings will encourage active discussion around the subjects and wines involved.

40 euro per night or come to all four for the reduced rate of €120

The first Wednesday kicks off at 7pm in Searsons, Monkstown on  25th January, 2017 and we will be exploring Burgundy over the course the evening.

  • A 2 hour tasting focussing on the different expressions various communes lend to the reds and whites of this region.
  • Wines will be carefully selected to represent the characteristics of their commune and highlight not only the importance of site selection, but also the vintage variation that can make such a difference to these wines.

Harriet Tindal has been teaching WSET courses since 2005 when she became a Programme Provider in East Anglia before returning to Ireland where she heads up Education at Tindal Wine Merchants. Having completed all the WSET qualifications including the Diploma in 2008, Harriet is now immersed in the final stages of her Master of Wine (MW) studies with just the research paper to complete. Recognising the need to bring her subject alive, real life stories taken from her many trips to wine regions across the globe, are integrated into the courses.
