Casa Carmela (from 'karmel', meaning vineyard or vines in Hebrew) is the name of the little farm house overlooking these beautiful vineyards in the sun-baked region of Yecla in South-Eastern Spain. The original stone-built, two-storey house, was a refuge for the farmers at night time, along with the mules that would have helped in the fields. The house is surrounded by small hills that protect this natural garden of vines, olive and almond trees.
