Over half the wines of Burgundy are regional appellations, like this Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Beaune. It comes from an area comprising about twenty villages in the hinterland of the Côte de Beaune. The area also grows fruit, in particular blackcurrant and raspberries, used to produce liqueurs. This fresh red wine, vigorous and full of character has pleasant notes of the "terroir" from which it comes.
