El Perseguidor Malbec Terroir Sonoro 2015
"Produced with Malbec from ancient vines in the commune of San Rosendo in Bio-Bio. While aging, it was exposed to music that winemaker Juan José Ledesma, who is also a musician, composed specifically for this wine and this vintage. It's a crazy but interesting idea. For me, the issue here is that the wine matures in 100% new French oak, and the new barrique gives it a creamy, smoky and spicy character that hides the character of the wine itself so that it comes through as a modern, oaky red with an international profile. Within that style, this vintage seems to have better balance and very good acidity, so it probably has the stuffing to improve in bottle and overcome that oak overdose. 2,000 bottles produced."
