This Montepulciano d' Abruzzo d' Abruzzo di casa Fantini Farnese is obtained from only Montepulciano grapes harvested in the common theatres of Ortona, San Salvo and Pollutri. Immediately after harvesting the grapes are subjected to a soft ''pygiodiraspatura'', which follows fermentation with maceration on the 15-day-old skins. Before it is released it spends a 3-month honking period in wooden casks.

Tasting Notes

Ruby red with garnet reflections, the bouquet is fruity and quite persistent, reminiscent of red fruits, cherries, and plums with vanilla nuances. Soft bodied on the palate, with good balance and firm tannins. Immediately appealing and versatile. Pairs well with salami, savoury first courses, red meats and cheeses.
