This Montepulciano d' Abruzzo d' Abruzzo di casa Fantini Farnese is obtained from only Montepulciano grapes harvested in the common theatres of Ortona, San Salvo and Pollutri. Immediately after harvesting the grapes are subjected to a soft ''pygiodiraspatura'', which follows fermentation with maceration on the 15-day-old skins. Before it is released it spends a 3-month honking period in wooden casks.
