Founded by Henri Martin, Château Gloria is an iconic reference among fine Saint Julien wines, an appellation situated on the left bank of Bordeaux. This estate’s distinctiveness lies in its strong vineyard, meticulously built up by Henri Martin through the acquisition of plots of vines from 1855 Grands Crus Classés.

Located in the Saint-Julien AOC, Chateau Gloria’s vineyard spreads across 50 hectares of vines. The vineyard is dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, complemented by Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. The Henri Martin estates, including Château Gloria, bear the ISO 140001 and HVE3 certificates. Château Gloria’s vineyard is managed in a reasoned manner with the use of organic products and bio-control.

"Such a deep, concentrated nose, full of ripe blackcurrants and black cherries. Great intensity and concentration on the palate, some dark spicy notes, liquorice, black pepper and cinnamon around the edges alongside layers of juicy and succulent ripe fruit. A full, bold wine no doubt, real power here but stylish and energetic. If you like the gourmet style, this one is great."

"The 2019 Gloria has turned out very well, delivering aromas of blackcurrants, plums, burning embers and a deft framing of creamy new oak. Medium to full-bodied, deep and nicely concentrated, with a vibrant core of ripe and fleshy fruit, lively acids and powdery structuring tannins that assert themselves on the youthfully firm finish, this shows considerable promise. Drink 2027 - 2060."
