About This Wine...
“Chablis-like wine of startling ambition, lightly lime tinged, crisp and cool wine. It is a star on the rise.” The Sunday Business Post, February 2019
“The Zenato family estate is the bedrock of the revival of Valpolicella region… a muscular, dense white with a second act of spice and pear. A left-field delight to be savoured” Tomás Clancy, the Sunday Business Post 30th September 2018
Founded by Sergio Zenato in 1960, the Azienda is now in the hands of his children, Alberto and Nadia. The largest vineyard holdings are in Lugana where they were responsible for the rebirth of the region. They also have significant properties in Valpolicella where they produce a range of charming, approachable wines. Ripassa is the flagship wine but all the wines offer genuine good value. In 2012 Custoza and Bardolino were added to the range: both wonderfully fruity, fresh wines and was followed by the Pinot Grigio which is enjoying great success.
