Crimson hue with deep purple tints. Intense on the nose, with ripe red fruit aromas. Harmonious balance of structure and length on the palate.
Gamay, organically grown on soils composed up of granite, clay, sand and volcanic dark rocks, in varying proportions, depending on the location of the vines. Gamay, black varietal with white juice. Traditional Gobelet pruning.

A reincarnation of the historic Chateau Poncié, Villa Ponciago is a 49 hectare property which has been lovingly brought back to
life by the Henriot family. Dating back to 949AD, the estate’s history is interwoven with that of the region. The old Chateau
Poncié was regularly regarded as the producer of the highest quality Fleurie, with prices routinely matching those of Grand Crus Burgundy. Today the Villa Ponciago name has been chosen to reflect the Roman roots of the property and signal the birth of a new benchmark within Fleurie.
