About This Product...

The Wine

Crunchy cherry and red currant nose framed with Wild Cape mountain herbs (known as Flynbos) Joyful bright palate with layers of soft delectabe tannins. Considerable presence and ageability and really distinct from any other South African Pinot Noir.

“one of the New World’s best Pinot Noir wines… the treatment given to Grand Cru Burgundy. Opulent, intense dark fruit with firm, fine grained tannins in a savoury flavour palate complete this picture of excellence” Tomás Clancy, The Sunday Business Post, 19th February 2017 on the 2012 vintage.

The Estate

Owned by our friends, Bruce and Penny Jack, The Drift Farm is knitted into the Northern face of the Alkedisberg and backs onto 20,000 ha of wilderness reserve in the spectacular Overberg. Organic practices guide their farming philosophy: vegetables, olive oil and grapes grown in extreme vineyards. A super premium wine farm: the wines will age for many years if you have the patience, but are already stunning. In view of Bruce’s prodigious reputation, we believe these wines to be the pinnacle of his many winemaking achievements to date.

Beautifully crafted Pinot Noir from South Africa in an equally beautifully crafted presentation pack. If you’re looking for New World quality stop here!
