About This Wine...
Vines have been grown at Saxenburg since 1693. Approximately 100 hectare are now under vine. The vineyards are situated on the Botterlary Hills above Kuils River between the Indian and Atlantic Oceans: they enjoy ideal soil and climatic conditions. Winter rains and the cool summer breeze from False Bay ensure that no artificial irrigation is required. Their policy of non-fertilisation and summer pruning lead to low yielding vines producing grapes of exceptional quality.
Saxenburg is comfortably amongst the top ten producers of South Africa.
