Maison Roche de Bellene Griotte Chambertin Grand Cru 2010

Pinot Noir

Maison Roche de Bellene is a negociant business in Burgundy launched in 2009 by Nicolas Potel, the owner of Domaine de Bellene. The business offers only the finest wines in limited cuvees to achieve its goal: to be the only “Haute Couture” negociant in Burgundy. Grapes are sourced from the same growers that Nicolas has been working with the last 15 years, who are either BIO certified or practice sustainable farming methods. The range of wines includes the widest selection of Grand Crus, prestige cuvees and individual terroirs from old vines both the Cote de Beaune and Cote de Nuits.

About This Wine...

“Meaty and rich – I found more griotte cherry flavour ib=n the Charmes in fact! Firm and fine and concentrated.Quite ambitious & muscular. Still a little bit of oak. Drink 2017 – 2027.”

17/20 Jancis Robinson

“An almost invisible touch of volatile acidity detracts mildly from the otherwise complex and attractive mix of red currant, plum and violet aromas. There is equally good depth present on the rich, round and minerally large-scaled flavors that brim with dry extract and excellent mid-palate concentration, all wrapped in a mouth coating, powerful and driving finish. This should be terrific in time.”
