Emiliana Signos De Origen ‘La Vinilla’ White 2017

76% Chardonnay, 9% Viognier, 8% Marsanne, 7% Roussanne.

Grown in an exceptional spot in the Casablanca valley. The grapes ripen slowly in this area, which allows them to produce very aromatic and fruity wines and very expressive flavours. These grapes come from small blocks where the fruit is of a particularly high quality. From the La Vinilla estate vineyard – a seriously good Rhone style blend.

About This Wine...

“The oaky but fresh and unusual 2017 Signos de Origen Chardonnay / Viognier / Roussanne / Marsanne has tasty, almost salty flavors, especially on the finish. It’s also balsamic, quite showy and moreish.”

90+/100 Robert Parker

“All the grapes are sourced in Emiliana Orgánico’s biodynamically-farmed vineyards in the Casablanca Valley. Here, because the climate is that bit cooler further inland, the grapes have a nice long ripening season. This means you get lots of flavour in the wine without losing the all-essential acidity that keeps the wine fresh and so moreish. The apricot, peach and tropical citrus fruit flavours make quite an explosion in the palate of this truly lovely wine that has a creamy layer of oak.”

90/100 Tim Atkin
