About This Product...
Situated just below the Les Laviéres vineyard, the Savigny-Champ-Chevrey is a monopole of the Domaine Tollot-Beaut estate and it produces the most structured wines of the two Savigny-Lès-Beaune Premier Cru appellations. Though it receives about 30% new oak ageing it is only used to support the fruit & minerality, not to dominate the flavours.
“Wide, deep aromas, impressively so. Deeply flavoured wine this, super flavour too that ingrains itself into the tongue. A beauty! The palate is sweet and candied with coconut and respberry notes, forward and generous.” Robert Parker
Tollot-Beaut is a most reliable source of delicious, consumer friendly wines that seem to get better as the years go by. Beautifully open in style, with rich, generous fruit flavours and judicious use of new oak, these are poised wines with great depth and elegance and are among the most consistent in Burgundy. One of the first properties to Domaine bottle their wine in the early 1920s, it is run today by Nathalie Tollot and her extended family.
