About This Product...
The village of Aloxe-Corton sits at the foot of the Corton hill and is known for giving good red Burgundy that performs above its village-level status. A good Aloxe-Corton will show some of the same structure, weight, and complexity found in the Premier Cru’s.
“An asembly of four different parcels of vines, adding up to 2 hectares. A less deep, but much wider aroma. Fine discrete fruit notes. Fresh, fleshy, yet very supple, cooler fruit, yet finely ripe. Not too big a wine – very pleasurable.”
Tollot-Beaut is a most reliable source of delicious, consumer friendly wines that seem to get better as the years go by. Beautifully open in style, with rich, generous fruit flavours and judicious use of new oak, these are poised wines with great depth and elegance and are among the most consistent in Burgundy. One of the first properties to Domaine bottle their wine in the early 1920s, it is run today by Nathalie Tollot and her extended family.
