About This Wine...
Straw yellow in colour with fresh, crisp minerality and ripe fruit. Gentle oak gives a creamy mouth feel and a touch of toast and vanilla. Drinks well from now and for the next couple of years.
“Herby, grassy nose with fresh apple and something a bit more tropical – mango perhaps? Lots of enjoyable fruit complexity here, plus a subtle chalky mineral finish.Drink 2019 – 2022.”
16.5/20 Jancis Robinson
“From 50-year-old vines growing a clay-rich parcel and matured in foudre, the 2017 Givry Champ Pourot offers up notes of fresh citrus, herbs and light reduction, followed by a medium to full-bodied, rich and fleshy palate that’s chewy and textural.”
