Domaine Michel Magnien Cote de Nuits Villages 2017

Pinot Noir

(Biodynamic since 2005). In 2015 Michel stopped using new French oak, replacing them with terracotta amphora, giving a freshness & life to the wines that oak cannot provide.

This red is a harmonious blend from various plots of Pinot Noir from the small village of Brochon. Seriously fresh and lively with mostly dark-red fruit and a dry chewy finesse to the tannins.

About This Wine...

“Shows bright and fresh red-fruit character with notes of earth and spice. Various terroirs in the Côte de Nuits and some village-level wine contributes to the weight and richness to this otherwise fresh-tasting Burgundy unadorned with the taste of new oak. It’s a pure expression of red Burgundy from biodynamically farmed grapes.”
