Domaine Lardy Fleurie Vieilles Vignes 2017 Beaujolais

Gamay

Beaujolais displaying the individuality that can only come from a good single grower, is the exception rather than the rule. Lucien and Claude Lardy, basede in the village of Fleurie, own 12.5 ha of very old, carefully tended vines, devided between the cru villages of Fleurie, Morgon & Moulin á Vent. Instead of selling their grapes to a negociant, they bottle all of their production themselves and are justifiably proud of their award winning wines which range from light, floral and easy drinking to more powerful, complex wines.

About This Wine...

A lovely concentration of fruit deriving from the very old vines used. Attractive berry fruit aromas on the nose follow through to an elegant, rich structured finish.

“This single vineyard, less than an acre, is planted with 65-year-old vines. The result is this spicy, structured, dark-hued wine, with tannins still intact but promising much. Drink 2018 – 2022.”
