About This Wine...
“North of village, bottom of Combe du Bas, planted 1928. 10,000 vines/ha. This came from his father. Coincidence that it was planted same year as the Aux Échezeaux from his mother. Mid to light blueish crimson. Quite sweet and grainy. Lots of substance and pzazz with a hint of bitterness on the finish. Drink 2018 – 2028.”

“There is good freshness and verve to the more intense, mineral-driven and muscular flavors that possess a sleek mouth feel thanks to the relatively fine-grained tannins. I very much like the overall depth as well as the fine persistence on the well-balanced finish. Recommended. Drink: 2022+.”
