About This Wine...
40% Roussane, 40% Bourboulenc, 20% Viognier,
This wine is made from vines which average 20 years in age and are grown on sandstone soils, which provide freshness, balance and fruitiness to the wine. The grapes are harvested by hand during the morning to ensure a high level of quality and avoid oxidation.
The wine is made separately from each variety, according to ripeness, before it is blended. Fermentation is carried out at low temperature (16°C) to preserve the primary aromas. The wine is then matured on the lees, to develop its unctuous and round character.
100% in tank fermented.
Situated in the Southern part of the Rhone Valley, this Estate benefits from a Mediterranean climate with long dry summers producing powerful, heady wines. Founded in the mid 19th century, Domaine Boisson is made up of vineyards in the two communes of the Vaucluse: Lagarde Pareol and Cairanne. Some of the Grenache vines are over 100 years old. Throughout the estate only environmentally friendly methods of cultivation are used and the soil is ploughed to encourage deep roots thus enabling the wines to acquire ‘terroir’ taste.
