Chateau Saint Georges (Cote Pavie) 2012 St Emilion Gr Cru

45.00

65% Merlot, 25% Cab/Franc & 10% Cab/sauv.

The vineyards are located not far from the village of Saint Emilion. In fact, Chateau Saint Georges Cote-Pavie has some very good neighbors. The vineyards are well situated, not all that far from Chateau Pavie or Chateau La Gaffeliere, just below the village.

In fact a small portion of their vineyard, .5 hectares abuts that of Chateau Ausone. Chateau Saint Georges-Cote Pavie was consulted on their wine by Alain Vauthier, the owner of Ausone.

About This Wine...

“One of the best value wines Bordeaux has to offer, we are thrilled to have an allocation of this prestigious Saint Emilion from Château Saint Georges Côte Pavie. It’s a fabulous kirsch and blackcurrant red from “a great terroir. Drink 2016 – 2025.”

“Very fresh and clear with wonderful brightness of dark fruits. Full body, fine and chewy tannins.”

93-94/100 James Suckling
