Château Larrivaux, Haut Médoc, 2011
Beautifully balanced with good concentration of blackcurrant and cassis fruit. Finish is lightly spiced and velvety smooth.
56% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Petit Verdot & 6% Cabernet Franc.
Notes of cedar, black currants and black cherries. Rich, rounded dark fruits with soft, supple tannins as well as a nicely layered mouthfeel and finish.
The Haut Médoc shares its borders with some of Bordeaux’s finest wine producing regions – Margaux, Saint Julien, Saint Estèphe and Pauillac. Many of the top estates from these regions make wine in the neighbouring Haut Médoc, such as Chasse-Spleen, Sociando Mallet and Lynch Moussas.
