It evokes cherries in syrup, with a hint of thyme and herbs, and a touch of smoke and vanilla. The palate is smooth, balanced and flavoursome.
“There is an intense herbal strike on the nose of the 2016 Ca’n Xanet, a peppery and spicy blend of 40% Merlot, 38% Syrah, 17% Gorgollassa and 5% Manto Negro that fermented in oak vats and aged in barrique for 12 months. The palate is quite light and has a soft texture.”
