About This Wine...
“Representing Bouchard’s very small holdings in that site, their 2007 Meursault Charmes smells of toasted almond and hazelnut, candied lime, and quince, Juicy and refreshing; brimming with lemon and white peach and yellow plum on the palate; and with toasty, nutty, honeyed underlying character, it offers lots of immediate appeal – while no doubt being worth following for at least half a dozen years. As Prost points out, “Charmes is very heterogeneous. This is Charmes Dessous, near the Route Nationale, not all of which is capable of truly great wine or consistent mineral complexity. Drink 2016 – 2026.”
