You may have been in the shop over the summer weekends when we had some of our new arrivals open on tasting, and if you enjoyed those you’ll want to take note of our October tasting event where we are lucky enough to welcome Filippo Pulisci who will be visiting us from Italy’s renowned Antinori.
This tasting is a fantastic opportunity to sample wines with Filippo, in the intimate surroundings of our Monkstown shop. We will be opening bottles from across the Antinori portfolio, including Peppoli Chianti, Badia a Passignano, La Braccesca, Prunotto and Villa Antinori itself. We expect the tasting to fill up fast so be sure to book early!
Villa Rossa was first produced in 1928 by Marquis Niccolò Antinori, father of Piero, as the very first Chianti Classico intended to age and improve over time. In 2001, Piero Antinori inaugurated a new phase in the history of the wine, which then became a
Tuscan IGT made from a selection of the finest grapes of the various Antinori family estates in Tuscany. The design of the label
has remained unaltererd since 1928 with only the very slightest modifications in 1990 and in 2001.
The evening will take place in store, kicking off at 7pm on Thursday 11th October 2018
