In celebration of International Sauvignon Blanc day we are hosting a tasting on Thursday 29th April at 7.00pm
Master of Wine Harriet Tindal will be talking to Sauvignon Blanc winemakers from opposite sides of the World:
Clyde Sowman of Walnut Block in Marlborough, New Zealand and Paul-Henry Pelle from his domaine – Henry Pelle in Menetou Salon, Loire Valley, France.
We will be looking into where the aromatics in Sauvignon Blanc come from, what influences their levels and of course the production methods that suit this variety best.
Four wines will be tasted:
- Walnut Block – Collectables Sauvignon Blanc, 2020 and Nutcracker Sauvignon Blanc, 2019
- Domaine Henry Pelle – Menetou Salon ‘Morogues’, 2018 and Menetou Salon ‘Les Blanchais’, 2018
