Winnica Silesian is a family-owned winery located in Bagieniec, Lower Silesia, Poland. Established in 2016 by climate scientist Esben Madsen and his wife Sonia, the vineyard spans over 11 hectares on decomposed granite soils at an elevation of 230 meters. The winery cultivates both traditional Vitis vinifera and disease-resistant PIWI grape varieties, including Riesling, Roter Riesling, Solaris, Souvignier Gris, and Regent. Committed to sustainable practices, Winnica Silesian is undergoing organic certification and employs minimal intervention winemaking techniques, such as wild fermentation and extended skin contact. Their diverse portfolio features still, sparkling, and skin-contact wines, with notable offerings like the Riesling 2021 and the Solaris 2023 sweet wine made from botrytized grapes.
